My name is Amanda Ferrer Jeffrey. I’m Majorcan and my mother is British.
I have dual nationality and I don’t like it when people, Brits and Spaniards (who are not from the Balearic Islands) associate Majorca to Magaluf.
What I definitely cannot stand is that Magaluf only appears on the international and national press for “balconing”, outrageous sexual scandals and other perturbing news… As I say in my documentary, the media is stigmatising Magaluf and is making matters even worse attracting a certain kind of tourism we’re definitely not interested in.
In my documentary, I analyse all the factors that intervene and show the world that Majorca is not Magaluf and Magaluf is not “The Strip”.
